12-blade neoprene impeller kit for Volvo Penta raw water pumps as fitted to Volvo Penta petrol inboard and stern drive engines in the 3.0, 4.3 and 5.0 litre series. 12-spline drive, 14.3mm shaft. Supplied with gasket and cap.

Critical cross-note — SM-2215 (CEF 107, Jabsco 1210-0001): SM-2215 is dimensionally identical to SM-2191 — same 57mm OD, 31.6mm length and 14.29mm spline shaft — but is the correct impeller for Volvo Penta diesel engines (D2-55 and D2-75 series) and Yanmar 4JH applications. The two impellers are physically indistinguishable by eye and are not interchangeable across these applications. Confirm the Volvo Penta OEM part number from your engine or pump data plate before ordering — do not rely on measuring the old impeller alone.

The Volvo Penta 3.0, 4.3 and 5.0 litre petrol engines are widely fitted to both inboard and stern drive configurations across a broad range of leisure powerboats and sports cruisers, particularly in the US and European markets. Raw water cooling on petrol inboard installations is every bit as critical as on diesel engines, and the same annual replacement recommendation applies regardless of hours run — neoprene blades age even when the pump is running well, and a failure on a petrol-engined vessel carries all the same consequences as on diesel.
