Product Description

6-blade neoprene impeller kit for Johnson F4B and F5B raw water pumps as fitted to Yanmar Y-series compact diesel engines, European-built Yanmar 2GM and 3GM series, Vetus compact inboard engines, Westerbeke, Nanni diesel and Lombardini marine diesels. Pin drive, 12mm shaft. Supplied with gasket and retaining nut.

Cross-note — Yanmar 2GM20F and 3GM30F European-built models: in the description for SM-2210 (Jabsco 22799-0001) it is noted that the European-built 2GM20F and 3GM30F — identifiable by a serial number beginning with E — do not take the same impeller as the Japanese-built versions. SM-2217 is the correct impeller for those European-built engines. If you own a Yanmar 2GM or 3GM built from 1997 onwards and your serial number starts with E, this is the part you need, not SM-2210.

The Yanmar Y-series (2YM15, 3YM20, 3YM30) are a popular family of compact two and three-cylinder diesels that succeeded the GM series and remain a common choice for sailing yachts in the 15–30hp bracket. All three use this impeller via the Yanmar F4B pump.

Cross-note — SM-2216 (CEF 116, Jabsco 673-0001): SM-2216 is superficially identical to SM-2217 in OD, length and blade count, but has a 12.7mm shaft versus 12mm for this part. The two are not interchangeable. Confirm by Jabsco part number — 653-0001 for this part, 673-0001 for SM-2216 — rather than measuring external dimensions.
