Stainless steel clevis pins, made from 316-grade stainless steel. Ideal for boats and marine use, due to their superior corrosion resistance.
Use our clevis pins any where a pivot pin is needed. We have a great range of sizes from as small as 4x14mm to as large as 12x125mm.
Clevis pins (occasionally mis-labelled as cotter pins) are a general purpose pivot pin with a main smooth shaft, a larger diameter head at one end, and a cross-drilled hole at the other end. Use clevis pins where two parts need to be connected together with a pivot.
Choose the diameter of the clevis pin, based on the diameter of the hole it needs to go through, then carefully select the length by studying the dimensions in our size chart. Our clevis pin diameters are 0.1mm under the nominal specified diameter, so a '6mm' clevis pin will fit through a 6mm hole.
Use our marine-grade stainless steel clevis pins for rigging pivot points, such as turnbuckles and turnbuckle fork-ends.
Use our 316-grade stainless steel split pins or ring pins, or R-clips to secure the clevis pin in place. Which of these securing methods to use depends, to some extent on how easily quickly you might want to remove them. The quickest and easiest being the R-clip, and the slowest being the split pin.
