These wire rope swage toggle terminals give a strong and robust attachment, which benefits from two rotational degrees of freedom (like a universal joint) so protects the wire rope from localised bending stresses.  

These are commonly used for shroud end attachments in boat rigging.  The built-in clevis pin attachment gives an easy method of assembly.
