Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, the TruDesign Hose Reducer is a superior composite solution for joining two hoses of different diameters inline. Moulded from a glass-reinforced nylon composite, high-modulus glass fibres impregnated into the nylon deliver exceptional strength, stiffness, toughness and dimensional stability, giving a lightweight fitting that performs well beyond traditional metal reducers.

Unlike brass or bronze equivalents, this composite construction completely eliminates the corrosion and electrical bonding problems associated with metallic fittings, making it a reliable long-term choice for hose runs throughout the boat. Each reducer features a long-tail design, allowing two hose clamps to be fitted per side for a secure, high-load connection that resists crushing under pressure.

Fully chemical resistant, the reducer is unaffected by diesel, petrol, household chemicals and antifouling paints, and its UV-stable construction won't break down or discolour with prolonged sun exposure. It performs reliably across a wide operating range from -40°C to +110°C, and the high-quality surface finish stays looking good over time, unlike bronze fittings which develop a green film with age.
