Stainless steel holding hinge, made from 316 stainless steel with a polished finish. Use these holding hinges, with built-in resistance to moving, in cases where you want the door / flap / hatch to stay in position.  Each hinge has a resisting torque (or moment) of 1.5 Nm (+/- 0.4 Nm)  As an example, one of these hinges would nominally support a weight of 1kg (a typical bag of sugar) at a distance of 15cm from the hinge pivot point.

These hinges have a polished finish, and their marine-grade stainless steel makes them ideal for both interior and exterior use. 

These hinges come with 4 countersunk fixing holes which are 5.5mm in diameter. Attach these hinges with M5 set screws (if using ‘nut and bolt’) or 4.8mm self tapping screws. For a ‘classic’ look you might want to use our raised slot countersunk set screws.
