This filter and water/fuel separator has a 30 micron cartridge with an aluminium head. At the bottom of the system is a quick-drain bowl made from aluminium.

Water in your fuel can occur over time due to condensation of moist air. The water is more dense than the fuel and so will collect at the bottom of the tank. If water is left to flow into your engine, this will result in running problems and potentially damage to your diesel engine.  

This combined fuel filter and water separator, ensures that any water collects at the bottom of the system, and also traps any fine debris before it can enter your diesel engine.

From time to time you can drain any accumulated water from the lower quick-drain bowl.
The filter comes with a choice of inlet and outlet ports so you can route the fuel pipes to and from your preferred direction, to suit your installation.  Blanking plugs are included for the unused ports.  The inlet and outlet fittings have a bore diameter of 6.3mm and the external barbs suit a fuel hose with 10mm inside diameter.
