Product Description

12-blade neoprene impeller for the Johnson F75B raw water pump, as fitted to Volvo Penta D6 series and Yanmar 6LY series high-output marine diesels. Spline drive, 25mm shaft.
At this displacement and power output, raw water cooling is working hard. The F75B is a large-capacity pump to match — this impeller runs at 65.8mm OD and 80mm length, considerably larger than the impellers found on typical sailing yacht auxiliaries. Thermal consequences of impeller failure on a D6 or 6LY are serious and fast-moving; annual replacement should be considered mandatory regardless of apparent condition, and a spare should be carried on board at all times.
