Product Description

A 12-blade neoprene flexible impeller for Sherwood raw water pumps fitted to Cummins 4B and 6B series marine diesels, Mercruiser diesel stern drives and Marine Power engines. If you run a Cummins-powered workboat, fishing vessel or cruising yacht, this is likely the impeller you need.

The impeller is the engine's first line of defence against overheating — it draws raw water through the hull fitting and circulates it through the heat exchanger or keel cooling circuit. Neoprene blades gradually lose elasticity with use and heat cycles, reducing flow before failure becomes obvious. Annual replacement is strongly recommended, and carrying a spare on board is simply good seamanship.
