10-blade neoprene impeller for Jabsco raw water pumps as fitted to a wide range of inboard diesels including Detroit Diesel V-series, Volvo Penta MD and TAMD series, Caterpillar 3406/3408, Yanmar and Perkins marine engines. 12-spline drive, 15.8mm shaft. Supplied with cap.

The 10-blade configuration sets this impeller apart from the otherwise visually similar 8-blade CEF 106 (SM-2214 in this range). Both share the same 65mm OD, ~50mm length and 12-spline drive, and a quick glance at the two impellers on a bench can be misleading — blade count is the critical differentiator. Confirm the CEF reference or OEM part number before ordering; fitting the wrong blade count will not necessarily prevent the impeller turning, but it will affect pump performance and may not meet engine manufacturer specification.

The breadth of engine compatibility here spans leisure and commercial applications. The Detroit Diesel 353, 453 and 471 series are classic V-configuration two-stroke engines found in workboats, charter vessels and older commercial craft; the Volvo TAMD and Caterpillar 3406 are widely used in both leisure and working boat contexts. Annual replacement is recommended across all applications regardless of hours run.
