I bought these stainless steel turnbuckles in order to improve the security on Land-rover Defender 90 old style sliding side window catches which are a known weak entry point for thieves. Using the safety belts mounting points and home made steel catchs at the other I am able fit the turnbuckle from point to point and secure them by winding the centre of the turnbuckle. They are very strong and a visible deterrent. A very good product and well priced.
