Boat Locker Hidden Latch With Teak Finishing Ring – One Finger Operation

A traditional spring latch for teak boat locker doors or drawers.  These are to be installed on boat internal lockers.  A 38mm (1.5 inch) hole is made in the locker door, and the teak finishing ring is glued into place.  For drilling a neat hole we recommend using a Forstner bit (as these are best for a neat edge).

The latch parts are made of chrome-plated brass.  The sprung latch is screwed to the inside of the locker door, and includes a finger-operated release lever.  The idea is that you put one finger through the access hole to access the latch release.  The corresponding latch clasp is attached to the locker door frame, and incorporates some adjustment in position with its fixing slot.

Require 3 x 3.5mm self-tapping screws, recommended countersunk for the sprung latch, and pan-head for the clasp plate.
