Stainless steel wide shackles made in 316-grade stainless for best performance in marine environments.  These wide shackles have some special uses around the boat, where the extra wide jaw opening is a benefit.

Choose from our stainless steel wide shackles ranging from M5 to M10 in size.  The size refers to the diameter of the shackle pin.  For example and M6 shackle has a 6mm diameter pin with an M6 thread. 

You can tighten or loosen the shackle pin with pliers or our handy shackle key, which you can keep on your keyring.

Choose our stainless steel wide shackles where the jaw opening of a standard D-shackle will not fit.  One such example is for attaching to mooring buoys.

The manufacturer's stated breaking loads for each size of wide shackle are shown below.  These are for ideal straight-line loading.

• M5   size:  breaking load 750kg
• M6   size:  breaking load 1350kg
• M8   size:  breaking load 2500kg
• M10 size:  breaking load 3350kg
