Attach this clinometer to an interior bulkhead or vertical surface on your boat’s companion-way so that you can keep an eye on your angle of heal (or ‘angle of dangle’ as we sometimes call it!)

Clinometers are great for comparing notes on the extreme heal that you managed to survive on that ‘epic voyage’, later in the pub. Also though, an inclinometer can help you decide when to take in a reef on the main sail, as you build up knowledge and experience of what works well on your boat.
