Wire rope end eye terminal for mechanical assembly without specialist tools, made from 316 stainless steel.  These marine-grade stainless eye terminals for wire rope are available to suit wire rope diameters of 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm. 

The main advantage of these ‘DIY’ wire rope terminals is that they can be used in situations where the stainless steel wire rope needs to be passed through holes – eg for boat stanchion posts to make a guard rail, before the wire rope end terminal is fitted.  The other advantage of these fittings, which are secured to the wire rope mechanically, is that in some cases it is difficult to measure the exact length needed for your wire rope assembly until you are in the process of assembly.

These stainless steel wire rope eye terminals incorporate a tapered mechanical wedge grip mechanism, which is applied by use of spanners, and therefore does not need the use of specialist equipment.
