Custom Hood Frame For Fly-Bridge
Custom hood frame for fly-bridge on Rodman 1250. For this project we discussed the look and function of the hood frame with the customer, and developed a CAD design to ensure suitability before manufacture. Our service inlcuded all measuring-up, CAD design for checking and approval, manufacture and fitment.
Oak Table With Stainless Frame, With Underneath Storage For Lift Raft
This oak and stainless steel table with cup-holders was designed to act as a storage place for a life-raft, the dimensions and construction being developed to ensure that the life-raft can be inserted from the end opening underneath the table.
Custom Stern Rails For River Boat
Here we made some stern rails, to help our customer more easily get on and off their stern platform of their river boat.
Custom Stanchion Post For Solar Panel Installation
Here we developed a specification with the customer and made a set of bespoke stanchion posts to work in tandem with a top rail made from our 316 stainless steel tubing and fittings.
Boat Stern Transducer Mounting System With Adjustable Height
Here the need was for a height-adjustable stern transducer system, so that the transducer could be just below the hull line in operation, and then could be rasied abobe the hull line when not in use, to allow for drying out on the mud. After much searching the customer could not find a system that they were happy with in terms of robustness, so we developed a solution for (and with) them.
Replacement Tabernacle From 316 Stainless Steel
During this restoration project the customer had a need to improve the design of his tabernacle to remove unwanted play and incorporate new functionality. We arrived at a design and manufactured the new tabernacle from 5mm 316 stainless steel plate, TIG welded together.
Gang Plank End Brackets
Our customer had a much loved, but very tired looking gang-plank, which they wanted to spruce up to go with their new boat. While our customer was giving the woodwork some TLC we designed and manufactured a new end hook / docking structure.
Replacement Deck Stay Brackets
Here our customer had a safety concern with their deck stay brackets, which were suffering badly from crevis corrosion (having the appearance of galvanic corrosion). Our task was to manufacture a replacment deck stay to match with the existing deck thru holes, and also to marry up with the existing under-deck bracing stay - complex angles to deal with.
Outboard Motor Hoist - For Loading / Unloading Outboard To Dinghy
Here the customer had a well defined geometry of an outboard motor hoist which was to be attached to an existing wind-turbine mast. The outboard motor hoist was to be made from 316-grade stainless steel. We helped to refind the design in terms of manufacturability and strength. A final design was soon agreed, and we manufactured the outboard motor hoist as seen.
Often we find that our customers know exactly what they want, and how they are going to achieve it. Sometimes though it helps to get a second opinion and we are very happy to help. It is often the case that an hour or two of our design work can make all the differerence between a passable solution and a great solution.
We often perform small design studies free of charge in the interest of getting to a result that we and the customer are happy with. For more involved or in-depth design studies we are happy to quote after an initial discussion - we think you will be pleased with the level of support and information that we generate for only a small outlay.
Stainless Steel Tube Bending / Frame Making
With our specialist tube bending equipment, and our stocks of polished 316 stainless steel tubing we can form thin-wall 316 stainless steel tubing to defined shapes for hood frame parts, canopy frames, roof bars, or any other need. We have roll bending machines to form slow gentle curves, or die-forming machines to create controlled tight bends in stainless tubing with no kinks or scratching.
We also have the range of 316 stainless steel tube fittings to put together functional assemblies, including fixed deck mounts, hinged deck mounts, elbow fittings, tee fittings and many more. We are also able to weld tubing and fittings using our TIG welding equipment.

Our metal-working lathe and milling machine give us in-house capability to machine components as needed as part of the overall solution
Stainless Steel Welding
When manufacturing stainless steel frames or mounting structures, such as mounts for solar frames, and outboard engine hoists and davits, it is often beneficial or even essential to weld the stainless steel components together.
We use stainless steel TIG welding to achieve the results that are needed, not only for their structural integrity, but also for withstanding the rigours of a salt-water environment.
Sheet Metal Work
Quite often the best solution starts with a flat sheet of stainless steel. We have equipment to bend, fold and form sheet steel into functional shapes and designs.
We often combine a number of manufacturing processes to arrive at the best solution. Having all of these capabilities in-house, we are well-placed to come up with a design that meets is needs (structural / manufacturable / functional / aesthetic / cost) in an efficient way.
