Our Marine-Grade A4 stainless Bow-shackles provide maximum corrosion resistance for salt-water marine environments. The superior corrosion resistance of these A4 grade Bow-shackles make them a great choice for sailing, motor boating and other water-sports applications. Bow shackles are commonly used for attaching ropes, anchors and chains for sailing, rigging or lifting applications. Compared to the regular D-shackle, a Bow-shackle is generally suited to applications where the loading may involve side loading rather than a straight pull, reducing the possibility of bending the shackle under side loading conditions.
